WITNESS a Subject.

I am not Lebron James. I wasn’t born with the genetic design that made me 6’8, 250 lbs with the speed of a cheetah. I also didn’t get the backing and support the he did growing up from his mother or basketball leaches for that matter. Not to say that my mom wasn’t supportive, because she is in her own way, but to say that my mom didn’t feel me with the ‘You can be the next best big thing in the world’. I understand why she didn’t and I love her just the same. But what I am, and always have been, is a competitor.

I am not the guy that talks the trash. I am not the guy that speaks unkind words about my opponent just to get them off of their game (You ain’t got no handles, Yo jumper broke, He can’t guard me.) I simply don’t like to loose.

I go to great lengths to not loose. I practice more than the average person. I game-plan. I strategize. I leave it all out there. BUT I AM ALWAYS GRACIOUS IN DEFEAT!

I don’t have much of a problem with Lebron not talking to media after the game. I kinda feel like it’s cruel and unusual punishment. I mean really, think about it. You just lost a game. You just got a nice early vacation parting gift for not winning the NBA East and you are expected to remember the game play by play explain what went wrong. That’s insanity! You don’t really know what happened all you know is what didn’t happen, you didn’t win. It’s a ridiculous concept. But to not congratulate an opponent on a match well played is undignified, uncivilized and . . . well, just unKingly.

Kings are suppose to be better than those peasants that can’t control their emotions enough to not get T’d up. Kings are suppose to carry themselves with an air of self worth that will not allow themselves to stoop to the levels of mere mortals.

This is why we have to teach the truth to the youth. The truth is that although we put titles on people because we expect more of them than others, everyone is human. Everyone is subject to the same mistakes. Everyone, including King James, are merely subjects.
